Mathematica 9 for Linux/Unix This includes AGAiN's kegen for 8, which still works for 9. It's an exe, so you'll have to run it in a virtual machine (or duel boot). I couldn't get it to run in Wine. I also don't know of a working keygen that runs on Linux normally, maybe you can find one, if you really want to. Once you have the keygen running; 1. Install the program, then run it. It will ask you to activate. 2. Click "Other ways to activate", or something like that, and pick "Manuel". 3. Enter your Math ID into the Keygen, and click "Save Mathpass". (your Math ID doesn't change, so you can write it down for later use, if this helps) 4. Copy the resulting activation key and password, and accept the agreement. 5. Congrats, you have the program! If you're having problems, you probably wrote your Math ID in the keygen wrong. MAKE SURE YOU ENTERED IT IN CORRECTLY. This is the main reason people have problems. Check, then re-check. It should work. Additionally, I've been told that not all generated passwords work. If one fails, and you are certain you entered your ID correctly, generate a new one. It will work eventually. It worked for me with the first password both times I installed, so this is second hand. If you have the money and you like the product, buy it yourself. http://www.wolfram.com/mathematica-home-edition/
Thanks for uploading, UBARC. Installed just fine after a couple different password tries (complete with the version 9.0 features I tried).
To get the keygen to work under wine, you need to have visual c++ installed. It was the same story with the previous version.

Got this baby working w/o any trouble. Thanks dude!
i'm tryin' to run this script on Fedora 17, but it keeps giving me an error after it starts to extract the installer:
"CRITICAL FAILURE: PrintIntroduction() Error
$ProductTitle not defined."
Anyone have any ideas? I had the 8.04 version installed just before downloading this one; maybe I didn't remove it right? Is anyone else having problems with this torrent?

**EDIT**
worked like a charm...thanks a lot UBARC! I resolved the issue from the previous post by creating a "Mathematica" directory in "/opt" and copying/moving the file to the newly-created directory and running it from there.
As for the keygen, again...worked from the first try. It might be helpful for users to download "winetricks" from http://winetricks.org/winetricks and use it to install "msvcp100" which is visual c++ 10

@UBARC: Any chance of uploading v9.0.1 for Linux?
I get a checksum error when I run the installer... "$sudo ./Mathematica_9.0.0_LINUX.sh
[sudo] password for _____:
Mathematica Secured 9.0.0 for LINUX Installer Archive
Verifying archive integrity.
Error in MD5 checksums: 66f41c106bf25c240f16c4d062e785b4 is different from c2ece337224b850b3011f1438e803745"
ideas? I've tried redownloading.

You need to run key-gen many times in case it does not accept password. I had to enter a new key 17 times. 18th was the charm!
Ok, so I know EXACTLY how to figure this shit out (took me a while myself).
1. After you install Mathematica 9, you need to take your keygen and put it in your actual Directory in which Mathematica was installed (not in ur Downloads File, it should be in your ProgramFiles folder)
2. Run Mathematica 9 as ADMINISTRATOR, and then click "Other ways to Activate", then click Manual Activation
3. Run the Keygen as Administrator
4. The Math ID generated in the KeyGen is WRONG! You need to replace it with the Math ID given in "Step 1" of the Manual Activation, itll be given to you by Mathematica (when you click Manual Activation)
5. Replace the ID, and change your Username to the username of your Computer, and then change your Company name to "Home"
6. Run The KeyGen, Plug in the Activation Code and Password, and BAM! ur done!
